Note To Self, is a service to educate clients through learning more about living a new healthy lifestyle. It is led by myself, Timara Tyler, in which I do what I am most passionate about: Teach a new way of living life. Wanting to teach brought me to counseling, which ironically, has allowed me to explore the journey of life with those who seek guidance, and it is the aspect I perhaps love most about being a therapist.

Combining my work experience with creativity, I use a multitude of therapeutic techniques including Expressive Arts, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I utilize systematic therapeutic practices with a sense of cultural sensitivity while helping you find new passions and purpose. I specialize in working with addiction, spirituality, women's issues, self-esteem, family, couples, divorce/separation, social skills, career, anxiety, depression, and multicultural issues.
We are all on this journey of life trying to find the best way to become the healthiest version of ourselves. The most difficult part is finding support along the way, support that allows you the space to be your most true, raw, authentic self, creating this space is the most effective way to find the true meaning of you. It’s what I call the journey of being "purposely crafted" and learning new ways of living a more purposeful life. Wanting to teach brought me to counseling, which ironically, has allowed me to explore the journey of life with those who seek guidance, and it is the aspect I perhaps love most about being a clinician. I am passionate about community which has led me to working with individuals, young adults, couples and their families in diverse settings such as private practice, therapeutic schools, outpatient treatment, residential treatment, and criminal justice settings.
